Welcome to ATI, A Tobacco-free Initiative to help smokers quit and switch to greener alternatives such as electronic cigarettes. According to the CDC, over 400,000 Americans die each year due to smoking related causes, and another 40,000 due to secondhand smoking. eCigs have the potential to save millions of lives as they don’t harm the user with over 4,000 chemicals and carcinogens found in tobacco cigarettes. Research has also shown that secondhand vaping is much less harmful than secondhand smoking. Although e-cigarettes have not yet been approved by the FDA, it’s absurd to think they don’t have the potential to save millions of lives.
